Hi folks,

Can I undertake a quick poll to see which of the following two options for Super Turms v5 crew on deck feature is the most popular:

1. Crew on Deck automatically appear/dissapear within a short radius of port.

2. Crew on Deck can be enabled/disabled anywhere by using a key command.

Please choose ASAP.

Best Regards

Hi folks,

What I'm aiming to do is release the most popular option first and then work on releasing the second most popular option ASAP so no-one will be dissapointed in the long run, it just helps me to see what the most popular choice is.

Thank you my friend.

Edit: Of course if both options end up equal I'll just put two bits of paper in a hat and draw one out :)

Hi Aces !

I vote for key-command, because I can with this option control by myself when the crew appear/disappear !

Best regards,
Magic:salute:

Although I do not play SHIII, modding takes all the time I have ;) , IŽll vote for the obvious ... key-command.

:har:

I never get out of port :) I think I'm stuck in some sort of time-loop like the film Groundhog Day, it's always 1941 in St.Nazaire!.

I forget but I think I once bought this game to play it :shucks:

:salute:

Key command :yep:

You get to '41? I'm lucky if I get through '39/'40. Thanks, Aces.

Oh no, no, no mate, I don't even leave port. I fire up the game, select a 1941 in St.Naziare start so that I can test Super Pens and Super Turms (1941=Type 7c boat) and that's it.

Repeat the above tens of times with modding in between and that's my SH3 life. Not that I'm complaining that is, I enjoy it but I do half recall that there's another reason why I bought the game in the first place now what could that be?. :)

It's so long ago that the last ship that I sank had sails, they've probably moved on a bit since then.

Not as much as we enjoy it when you've tinkered :yeah:

LOL, my long-suffering other half has to sit through me swearing profusely albeit light-heartedly at the computer when something doesn't work as intended or the game falls over, doesn't load, hangs up etc. etc. :)

HA! I was going to vote 'Automatic', but after reading other people's responses I realized that no matter where it happened I would wish it happened somewhere else. So I voted 'Key Command'. That way I only have myself to blame. Also, if I want to order the lot of scurvy bums on deck, in dress uniform, in the middle of an Atlantic storm, I can. :x

Another vote for key command... :sunny:

Key command because the other option may be affected by the 'start at sea' facility and the only way to overcome it would be to allow them viewable when way out of port.

Ahoy,

I do vote for the "Key command" .... you never know ...you might need to get your crew on deck ....for special training on special circumstances or ....and Yes, it might cause problem with the "start at sea option"...

Good idea my friend

Just one question: How you check if the crew looks to the "right" sight with the people on quay?

"Crew! What are you looking at? The fishes? The quay and the welcoming people are over there!" :D

At least the captain has to check that the u-boat uses the right lane for docking. :salute:

I like key command: If my crew is insubordinate, I put all the mates on deck in bad weather :O:

In any case, i do not wish to have a few dozen of "dummies" on deck (unlike the normal animated additional crew) ... but without doubt ... manual control ... :ping:
... and with limitation for normal crew... only in port...
