I havn't ever seen a SH5 mod for this.
It was one of the best little touches in SH3 that I really loved. Would it be hard to do ?

It was in the release notes from the last patch. But like many other things in the release notes that still remained broken anyway. I guess the oil skin weather gear is in game. But its the trick to have it show up only in bad weather

My vote goes here, too. The lack of storm weather oiled clothes and hats.
How could such an important visual cookie be forgotten?

Like i said it was supposed to be in the latest patch but wasent. Also stuff like the weather being saved was in the release notes , its still broken. damaged ships saved , also in the release notes but still broken. Worst patch i,ve ever seen in a game. Like the stock game the patch was only half done.

in sh3, it was necessary to break the submariner and to make it stand out with hat, but in SH5, we do not possibilty ... Or dipping and going back to their s '... It seems difficult to equip.
For sure I miss it a lot ...
Whoever can make this mod will be loved by everyone I think :yep:

Thanks for info. This game should never be released in the state it was released.
Sometimes I wonder if it is worth modding at all. Moders will probably have to write the game anew.

would adding / making rain hoods be really hard and really work intensive then?

Yes the game should never have been released in this state. But see what modders have acommplished so far already. Dont forget that this is only the beginning. Most things can be fixed. Its only a shame we have to pay 50 euro,s for a half done product and do all the work ourselves to finish it. Personally i try to look at sh-5 as sort of a subsim toolkit . Ive recently started modding and adopted hansolo,s harbour life mod and pick up the work he has done so far.

I think the last patch exposed this feature but did not implement it.
Some UPC or CFG files still require to be edited adding the different clothing gear depending on current weather conditions. Maybe we can look in SHIII/SHIV to see how it is done there and try to import that information technique into SHV?

I think the record has been beaten with catastrophic IL2 Cliffs of dover...
third patch for 15 days and the game is still unplayable and terribly ugly graphically...Yet the title has the potential but He deserved a year longer in development...
The finishing work will be done by the great modder community once again...
IL2 Cliffs of dover is distributed by Ubisoft

.....What?:rotfl2:
Is it legal what they(UBISOFT) are doing? I guess it is, but it is certainly of a very bad taste.

Hmm why doesnt that suprise me? If i where Ubisoft i better watch out . Its not very fruitfull to treat customers like that in a time like this.

As far as I remember - there are no rain hoods or hats in the character GR-2 file, hence it would require adding stuff to GR2 which is at the moment is not possible. :(

Can Rain Gear be created in S3D DAT?
Then use Goblin Editor to Save using GR2 ID's
Maybe TheDarkWraith can share some information on this...

To my knowledge (which is limited of course) it is impossible. There is only one human body model in the game (CharacterBodyParts.gr2) that is used for all people and contains all the things people have in the game. All the gear, heads, hats, legs, torsos are there in the same and only file. The game's engine takes whatever combination of those parts is demanded by animation at the moment and makes it visible to you. Just watch at bosun in the sub - from time to time he has a piece of paper in his hand - this sheet is made to appear and disapear in his hand by his animation script and you can make this sheet of paper (or headphones or cap's cap or whatever) appear (or change face, or hat, or leges) on anybody you see in the game, you just need to make it visible or invisible writing a line in the script. So it is not many files that a character is constructed with but rather one file that has everything, but only some things from it are visible at one moment. Cool system, the problem is however if something is not there - that's it, it's not there. And hoods are not there unless we find a way to add them to the GR2 file. :damn:
