Hi All,
Every time I save a game in NYGM it fails to load. If I want to stay in my career I have to complete each mission without saving, not always enough time for this. Is there a known answer?

what mods do you have installed. I had the same problem and it turned out to be mod related:salute:

what mods do you have installed. I had the same problem and it turned out to be mod related. The supermods like GWX and NYGM already add alot of additional data, so some of the additional mods you add may be overloading the game. I believe there is a limit to how much data can be processed by the game engine, so even though you may have a powerful system (as in my case) the saves will still get corrupted if overloaded. In my case FM's excellent new interiors mod was the culprit. Other large mods such as Aces super pens, and the harbor mods also may be causing this due to their large size:salute:
this has been discussed at length in other posts
bear in mind to some extent save game corruption is a bug feature in SH3 (also discussed in many threads) However, I am convinced that this happens much less frequently in unmoddified set ups thans it does in heavily modded setups. If anyone can confirm or deny this please do so:salute:

Hi Brett25,
I'm sure you are right. I took out a couple of large mods I had recently added and Bingo! a clean save. I also had to remove the mods you mentioned in Ace for the same reason. Nygm does have one or two bugs. I recently found out, after a lot of wasted time, that if you crash dive then try to adjust the depth on the way down you lose control. The only way to maintain depth after that was at full ahead. There is a fix but it only works on SH3 without Starforce.

yeah H.sie and Steiblers patch does fix this, the "crash dive blues" as they call it. Maybe you can buy the non starforce version of the game its probably only 5 quid these days. That patch adds alot of other really important features.
I dont like to crash dive too much anyway, (other than to hear the alarm bell and all the commotion) but found its better to hit flank speed first and then just hit d to dive. It seem crash dive starts you sinking before you get full speed and you loose critical seconds:salute:
