I saw a post, that I can't find now, that told us how to mod the navmap so contacts (sonar, visual, ect) don't show if they are merchant, warship or submarine. WHat file do I need to edit to make these map contacts "unknown"?

Look in the documentation file included in my UIs mod. It will tell you how to do what you're wanting. There isn't a mod per se for this but my UIs mod is where you'll find the documentation on how to do it.
