Sure, Light campaign mod makes it alot easier to start completing objectives .but towards the end of the war things get too difficult. It becomes so much that im starting to think i need an even lighter objective. Not too light, just enough to make it so that its......more possible. i mean, In the black pit it becomes such that i cant even enter a convoy anymore because there are SO many destroyers. And to find wolfpacks and stick with them to go find a convoy? plus, ive never found a black swan escort, and i waited a month in and near Gibraltar trying to find a capital ship.
Is there a Lighter Litecampaign mod? i cant seem to find one.

But thats the way it was at the end of war :) It was almost impossible to attack convoy and almost every U-boot that left base was sunk by airplane or destroyer. Destroyers crew were well trained and it was impossible to escape ASDIC.

I know that. But objectives are always supposed to be attainable in a game, in one way, shape, or form. Maybe not very easily, but attainable. some of the objectivs....just arent. i spent 8 months searching for black swans and i didnt find one. And wolfpacks are pretty messed up too.
im not a super simmer. I dont live on the immersion factor. I like this game because it explores a pretty lacking theater of WWII. I love subarines, but more importantly i love naval warfare, ships, and the ocean. all rolled into one wonderful game. but im casual, and i dont strive for complete and utter accuracy all the time, or immersion. But i payed 50 bucks for this game, and 150 on the equipment i had to buy to actually play with tolerable FPS rates.
so when objectives become highly impractical, i want to lower to them to something that i can work with frankly. I take back about the destroyers because they honestly arent a problem for me because i know my evasion skills, but wolfpack objecives and Black swans are a little impractical

Thats no good... 8 months and no Black swans...You know what, try to contact with moderrer who made this mod. He can change thing or two.
I think its the best solution for this situation.
Hello CaptainMattJ,
you can edit the campaign objectives relativ easily to your own settings.
Take a look in the LiteCampaign Mod.
You can edit the "campaign.cfg" to reduce or raise the objectives.
Here two examples for you:
"LiteCampaign\data\Campaigns\CampaignProjects\Total _Germany\Campaign.cfg"
a. edit sinking Tonnage
[Campaign.CampObj.MacroObj 3]

As next you can edit the "Campaign.tsr", this file define the text for the Map in Game.
Edit your own values for Tonnage or sinking Ships in the right lines, so you have the correct Message in Game-Map.
"LiteCampaign\data\Campaigns\CampaignProjects\Total _Germany\Campaign.tsr"
Look and merge for the entries and edit this values with your changes you make in "Campaign.cfg".
"Campaign.CampObj.MacroObj" ...with the nummber (1,2,3,...)...and the text.
That is what is to do. But you have to look:
- Best way is to edit the "Campaign.cfg" and "Campaign.tsr" before you start the Campaign
- It is also within the Campaign missions may have two objectives, which makes it a bit complicated, you see these entries in such
[Campaign.CampObj.MacroObj 4.PersObj 1]
[Campaign.CampObj.MacroObj 4.PersObj 2]
look at 3.
- Backup all your original files
- Never edit files directly in SH5\data, use JSGME
At first it looks a bit complicated, but relatively simple to edit.
I also reduced my goals, also found it a bit strange on the Atlantic ships to search for a specific need.
I am a U-Pirat .... lol.
Hope i can help you with this, this is a great forum, helps me a lot, now i can give a little bit back.
