RA mod and win7

Ok so i followed the readme exactly and when i launch the game nothing changes its all stock still, iv tried combatability mode and nothin, yes ipatched my game to 1.4 before installing mod and yes i put the FOLDER and .bat in ROOT folder, any ideas?

My install worked fine on another comp with window 7 installed. Did you run as Admimistrator?

Try redownloading the patch and the RA files

I'm running on Windows 7 with no problem whatsoever.

fixed it? apperently my AVG was blocking something, i turned it off and it works now

I'm having a problem with my install for some reason it's not installing any graphics at all game crashes on opening movie running as admin all right to mod ok {meaning editing folders} :damn: Keep getting can't open file win 7 64 bit compat mode xp sp 3 for installing evan disabled my avg for install but no joy

yes mod install was ran as admin this is driving me nuts I want to play agian on my new cpu

What file can't be opened? Or try redownloading the latest mod version. And I think, AVG should be disabled when running the game, too.

it's not able to open graphics files for other objects in game besides brand new models avg is disabled it crashes right after it starts up I downloaded it from Dw wiki tryed to get it from redrodgers link but part 2 fails maybe something s wrong on my end dw works fine with out installed.

I have no idea what could be the problem... Maybe files from that DW wiki are corrupted. Or this is solely win 7 problem. Perhaps you should try reinstalling DW completely, deleting all old files (do not forget to apply patch 1.04).

P.S. Redrodgers links are Ok, you could try later if you want.

I think its a problem with win 7 I'm going to play around with it some I have been reinstalling after every attempt which is a pain

during install it runs great till open compressing failed to open then compressing done it dose it to all model files for some reason any ideas

Just to be sure, do you extract DWX archive to the game's root folder and run bat file from there (with admin rights, but I already asked this)? Where is your game installed? If C:\Program Files you could try installing it to another folder, e.g. C:\Games. This will deal with the security rules which are more strict for Program Files by default (though, admin rights should be enough to override these rules).

Hello - I'm very new to this, but enjoy the game and cannot get the RA mod working. I've tried both 1.31 and 1.32. I've installed DW into C:\DW, patched to 1.4, tried to use administrator rights to install the mod, but during the installation see many "file not found" errors. When running the game, the splash screen appears, then the RA intro video, but when I then try to move into the core game, it crashes.
Please just confirm that the correct installation method is to copy the mod files directly into the DW files, then run the patch from, in my case, c:\dw?
Any help much appreciated......:damn:;)

Your having same problems I had here is the answer http://ra-dwx.narod.ru/download.htm download the files from this site your graphics will work this way and no more crash to desktop just follow install instructions

Thanks Mr Wood. I'm real close now!! Mod runs, but getting bitmap not found error 122010 (may be slightly different) on quick missions. Also, no periscope station for Kilo demo. Other problems with other missions. Any more help hugely appreciated.

only thing I can think of is to downoad it agian from a different source and reinstall
