I opened a tread in the normal sh-5 for somebody to fix the ocean floor. The game thinks the ocean floor is 15 - 10 meters above the actual ocean floor. This is so extremly poorly done by thge devs but yet another challange for the community who are making sh-5 what is was ment to be.
Some actually got close to fixing it but for some reason in never became a real fix. screen of in this thread http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=169382
But my question is why hasent anybody been able to fix this before?
It's an inherited bug from older SHs that probably no one remembered of when making SH5 :(
It doesn't happen everywhere...it's probably a mix of code/data bugs so it won't be easily fixed by modding.

I cant remember this but from any of the previous SH series. And if it doesnt everywhere it does happen where it matters the most. Neat the coast.

I've played both SH3 and SH4, and I have a bad habit of staying in shallow waters, meaning that most of my escapes from enemy warships were at 3 knots, .3 metres above the seabed, and I'm telling you, every time a DC has gone off on top of me and kicked my sub into the seabed, that seabed was exacly where the game showed it.
In SH5 on the other hand, It feels like I'm flipping a coin every time I dive
