Hey, not forcing you to use it ;) It may well be that it's not for everyone's taste. I make no claims as to historical accuracy in regards to replicating a u boat compass. I just always wanted mine to look like this and now it does.

I got inspired by looking at some vintage Carl Bamberg Berlin compasses I will be making another version that looks a bit more weathered in the future. Like this one from WWI:

I agree with Magic1111 - maybe you can change the logo to something more german for the era, or make two versions :hmmm:.

But I do like the clarity of these dials, so for me, it helps when I bring them up using TDW's UI SH5enhanced. With that mod, we also sometimes have to overlook the fact that not all things are uboat-like. As long as everything else inside and outside the uboat looks like a uboat, then I'm happy with the UI stuff. :DL

The logo is of the Carl Bamberg Berlin Company which made aviation and nautical compasses Germany starting in 1871.

I understand what you are saying, and again, not making a claim that this is a replica of the compass found within the u boat, but with that said, the compass being black and tan with the red and green is not uncommon in military compasses of the time period, or the nationality.

I know a lot of people will only use a mod that is considered to be historically accurate. This may not be the mod then for them. That does not mean that I will not make alternate versions in the future (I love working in PS).

I love the feed back, either good or bad, so please don't take my remarks as being defensive or disrespectful of your point of view ;)

My apologies Church SUBSIM! That's my ignorance in not knowing that the logo is that old. It has a nice modern look to it, so I was mistaken :oops:.

I like the dials and am using them now, so thank you again. :up:
