This was a twist on the original image of Felix that I made (I added a Iron Cross to his paw). It is not a replica of a real u-boat emblem. I do know that Felix, Betty Boop and other American Iconic images were well thought of by many in Europe at the time (mickey is another).

I washed out the black a bit to make it look weathered. Glad you like it!

I will try a few other variations (torps, etc) and other images/icons of the time too.

My heart goes pitter pat watching Felix the wonderful cat!
I wrote out the words to the song, then decided a link would be better. Then I listened to the song again, realzed Felix was so much older than that theme song, and ended up linking to a late '30s cartoon; one they would have watched then.

And yes, the emblem is awesome. :rock:

actually I have an historical emblems project going on from the last year. It is huge, because I planned to include every single WWII U-boat emblem that I'am aware of from the net. Several of the featured emblems were taken directly from original pictures or painted by me on the base of historical sources, and as far as I know they were never seen in SH3/5.

Just now I've completed the emblems for U-boats from U-2 to U-289, plus flotilla and crew emblems. Including also variants for the most common emblems, it amounts more or less to 390 different items.

Once I'll finish reworking DynEnv, and if there's enough interest here about this new project, I could prepare a first release of the stuff I've ready on my HD, but it can take a while, as the next week I'm due to get back in Tanzania for work, and I will not be back home until the fourth week of the next month... anyway let's discuss the topic on a future new thread! :DL

Or anyplace you think would be a good spot for it. Just keep it away from the cook. His food would only get worse than it is now. And we don't want him cutting his fingers off day dreaming do we. It wouldn't be good seeing a finger or two in his 'special stew'. LOL

Steel Vikings interior and I hope SilentMichael's new interior mod. If both will work together.... at least that's my plan. I'm just getting ready to reinstall my mods in the new SH5 install.

Doing Sober's mod install order so hopefully they all work. But no UI mods.
