I first want to say thank you to the creators of this fantastic mod! This is a fantastic boat and lovin every minute of it! However, have noticed there are no decoys available whenever I select decoys in the chase. Is this an error or is it because she is an older boat not equipped with the newer devices? If so, is it possible to edit in my own launchers, as a docked mod or would this have been too much to do in theater?

Anyway, I would also like to see an updated hull as has been suggested in previous posts.

As far as I can tell the U.S. submarines did not use decoys, I can remember reading of only one case where it was tried, the sub got clobbered pretty good and the captain said he would never use them again. Wish I could tell you which file to go to and how to turn it on but I just don't know, good luck. Indy:smug:

Thanks Indy. I had played the German side for so long, that I thought all subs in WWII had decoy launchers. Now, if I can find whether or not US subs ever get dual deck guns in SHIV, aside from the beautiful Narwhal model, then would be happy as a clam.

Don't want to spoil the surprise for you but yes, the US fleet boats do get dual 5" guns as an option toward the latter part of 44.

Thanks Aanker! Not a spoiler, just haven't finished the US all the way through from start to finish. KNowing I get dual 5", will give it another try with a Balao or Gato. In my opinion, the 5" is far more powerful than the 6", at least as far as the game works.
