[REQ] Some Things that still need fixing

AMAZING MODDERS with skills beyond those of us mere mortals..... is there anything we can do about:

1) Crew messages that are totally useless.... like when you leave the sub penn your crew shouts to you " Ship Sighted!!! " and " Smoke on the horizon!!!" lol ( yeah we know, its from the friendly German destroyer that guards your harbor entrance!! :)

+ when aircraft fly past your crew shouts the message " ' Kamph Band ' Sighted!! " ( its not a task force or 'Kamph Band' of cruisers .... its 2 hurricanes !!)

2) Aircraft that attack you... and hit you... but when they hit you the cannon shells cause NO damage to your boat's sytems OR hull integrity (even with IRAI 30.0) and therefore you often dont feel the need even to dive... because you know aircraft shells will cause you either very little or no damage.

3) Some way for crew and even your officers to die.... (Athough this is very difficult I know )

Not entirely sure about the aircraft thing... I just got smacked out of no where by one dropped his payload right ontop of my engine room, took out both desiels, and flooded the room to 100% so fast I didn't dare dive, and was stranded on the surface with no speed.

Luckily my crew was on deck by then and manning the guns, shot him down and attempted repairs.. unfortunatly he must have radioed our location because shortly afterwards two destroyers came out to greet me.

So yeah aircraft do damage. Enough to completely disable you.

there is a special crew state, its called something like "bunker" i think, maybe TDW can also capture this sighting events, code using "!& State Bunker" with additional timer. If the timer expires (maybe 15 minutes), the code may allow audible sighting reports via his audio DLL. :hmmm:

3) Some way for crew and even your officers to die.... (Athough this is very difficult I know ) I agree with this one. I would be happy if there would just be a list of the crew and their health condition. If a crewmember would die it would give a negative moral boost and it would cost renow to get a new one. And the efficiency of the station would be reduced. This would be enough for me, allthough it still might be too much to ask for.

Second thing that annoys me every now and then is the airplanes that just disappear when they are destroyed. Very anticlimatic :down:. Some time ago I made a small test and switched the american airplane (can't remember the name) from SH5 to similiar from SH 4. Then I tested it in a custom map. It didn't attack me but when it was destroyed in an explosion, it's wings still remained and dropped to the sea. This never happens normally in SH 5, but it seems that it's is possible.

I know that if they get you with a bomb then you will take a lot of damage im just talking about the cannons / machine gun strafing really. I think it should be more deadly.
