Subject: Len Deighton's "Bomber"
This very long play was originally broadcast by the BBC throughout a single day, the "anniversary" of the events portrayed. It combines narrative based on Deighton's novel with real eye-witness accounts from both sides in the conflict. It is harrowing, moving and above all riveting radio. This reviewer originally recorded it on videotape - the only format long enough to capture it all at the time - but subsequently over-recorded it, so I'm delighted to find it again. You can play it on your long trips home, back to Pearl.
