Well you just create the sub in the relevant data/rost folder and in the submarine folder, the .UPCGE file fro german needs to be renamed to .upc and there's a nationality = line in the upc.
Also remember that the equipment is uses must be delcared in \data\upcdata and not \data\upcdatage. Also, if the unit uses a unitparts file for conning tower, then that must be placed in \data\upcdata.
It's just a matter of opening all the files, cretaing them in the right place, and make sure the filename references in the various roster and upc files point to where they exist in the file structure for a US unit. The bit that usually takes a while for me to dbug is getting all the equipment declared in the right structure, including the upgradepack stuff.
Hope this helps.

ok, i did that, now i have another problem,
the selection works fine, but:
when it takes me into port, it has an error saying that:
"Camera Manager: No behavior defined for camera type 0-36".
Please help!:wah:
im trying to modify Jhapprich's OscarII/DeltaIV submarines to be playable on the american side without the main CWSS files
P.S. Jhapprich, if your reading this, please help point me in the right direction.
EDIT: i got around the Camera Error, now it CTDs when i select the Oscar II, I used jhapprich's Oscar II Files as a template, no DeltaIV.
