I was quite disillusioned by fleet command but also failed to get into harpoon back in the days.

Also, Red Pill doesn't uses 3D models does it ?

They just released v1.20 (http://www.gcblue.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=762) in fact, by all means check it out. Highly recommended.
