global-explorer.de website doesn't seem to have the file anymore. Anybody know where I can get this awesome utlitity/mod?

OT: I'm an out and out landlubber and a greenhorn to sub sim games to boot. :D But I loved the game instantly! :)

I never tried this SH3Gen...Is it compatible with SH3 Commander and the supermods (GWX, LSH3, WAC, NYGM...)? :hmmm:

Yes. Like Commander it works outside the game, basically by reading the Mission Editor. It's a pretty cool toy.

IIRC you have to start a patrol, save (away from anything) and exit patrol, alt-tab out and start SH3 Gen and then point it at the latest save. Load up latest save in SH3 and hopefully your map should now begin to show lots of nice new units for you to hunt/avoid. :yeah:

It's still there, but GlobalExplorer just hid the front page:

SH3Gen is totally independant from the other mods, or SH3 Commander. It just analyses your savegame/campaign, adds text to your patrol log and map markings. And can generate GIS map for an external viewer. (Tracking Room edition)

Hello, just installed SHIII and I'm trying to find a site to download SH3GEN. If anyone can direct me to where I can download it, I would much appreciate it.

The link in the previous post does not work for me as I get a Forbidden error message.

Pretty sure it's in the SH3 Downloads Section under Gameplay Mods.

If your using Chrome you will probably experience difficult, best download from the above using IE.

You can use a ftp-client (like FileZilla), too. Works realy good.
