Hello

So far i create this :

1. I need help with making hull round so it wont be like a quadrat
2. I dont know why is fore side where torpedo doors are is blank i tried to create a torpedo door and was too large so i erased it and now is all blank
3.help is most needed
4. im new at 3d modeling so go easy on me
5. I need some1 to create a propeler

Btw the hydroplanes must be at middle of the hull but i dont know how to do it

In silent editor program can u build conning tower?

in google sketchup is realy hard those small things make hole in tower and add few things like compass uzo periscopes?

no there, it's used to modify the game files, not to create 3d models

Could you make it playable? please , u can use it as AI patrol boat for ijn campaign or the WDAD

But first the rudders need to be done and some fixing at aft boat torpedo hatch you will see

Just ask if you need model

What i did is rudder,better conning tower and a torpedo doors

could you fix the hull
propeller is needed
hydroplanes
opening torpedo doors

Some of them were operational, but not sent out to a war patrol, so it's a semi-realistic mod :up:

Did you looked in a model? Not bad for a begginer huh :D

Just rudder and propeler is needed then you can import it in game

But now im trying to figure out how to make model clean and nice looking arc not quadrat anymore

I don't want to hurt your feelings but you really need to refine the model :

look at jhapprich's Typ XXX, that one to me is ready to be implemented ingame.

Know that implementation ingame takes, for me at least, roughly 40 hours of work... and that's when the model is finished. Narwhal, starting from an existing hull, took me 6 or 8 months work !!!

tryied 3d max studio but is like chinese to me i need something simple without 1000 buttons like 1 button means 1000 things and the tutorial isnt very helpful weld that, where is that button i would select hull to make nose for submarine and i selected it and i get spike come on i dont have whole day to study this program i learned google sketchup in 10 minutes

In google sketchup i created midget submarine in about 30 min in 3d studio max i need 10 min to find a button

Need more tutorials for 3d studio max version 7

No thanks, my friend imported it in game just needs a proper textures and animations

Tried that program and as 3d studio it almost give me a heart attack now i dont know how to even move so if anyone gives better model go ahead im finished with it

Are you making her playable?? if so why not put her into the nuclear subs project, i was also trying to do the astute but i have no experience in 3d modelling.

I'm working on my carrier and so most of my time goes to that..but please feel free to use the nuclear submarines project topic. saves you making a new topic about the same things

I thought that sh4 accepted only about 40000 ? DW is about 4000...

maybe for SH5 then ;)

That poly count is wrong.

Poly count is 14, 388

Vert count is 16, 382

That 410000 as far as i know is the product ID lol

I'd have to agree with Keltos as it's one thing paying for a model and getting it into game properly.

I payed 180 for a carrier :har: Worst mistake of my life so far...

Just make sure the poly count is below 100k as my carrier is slightly above that.
and that it has working textures as well!!

Also, being as the astute is a welcome addition, there is a exact replica and she's got working textures and made to go into games.
On falling pixel.

I just buyed it,now lets see if will Uroš fingers do magic but i believe he will create a very good he got over 15 years of animations,3d modeling...
He helped to create battlefield 2 AIX 2.0 and many more

i think it will be ready before sunday uroš is currently at bussines travel (Ukraine) and it will be home in friday he is negotiating for his own enterprises
The good thing is that the 3d model is in his laptop wich currently have it with himself and when he will have time he will work on it
Dont forget that Ukraine and Russia arent best friends so well see but i dont care if is delayed im thinking to buy new model like that german u boat who carried V2/1 rockets to destroy new york or that german cruiser submarine

and a cheaper one at that too.. but she has no torpedo doors, so she'd need some work too.

About the model you bought it could have the polygon count lower to get it to work in the game. I could do this for you if your interested, have you got the web site where you bought it from with picture of it? I need to see how detail the model is, and if it ok and your willing to give the model,
I would be willing to try lowering the poly count for you. :yeah:

Having said that you could trying lower the polygon & Vertex counts yourself is a good way of learning how to do 3D modeling. :salute:

Here a good modeling tutorial, now I know its an aircraft, but you can use this method on all most anything you would like to make. :up:

ok good news: it has homing torpedoes, anti aircraft rockets (Stingers/IGLA),
ground attack/anti ship misslie,tomahawk and 5 nuke rockets. Nukes got a power of Tsar bomb http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsar_Bomba.What is still need to do is deck gun as a rocket launcher(unguided) and a minigun to replace aa guns.Animation for minigun barrels spin. Bad news stil negotiating about copyrights.I can only tell you what is done any beta release would broke copyright rules.
My crew is trying to figure out sh4 code to add modern sensors like radar would guide rocket
