Well I'm new here i know^^ But i gave my best to do anything to improve SH5 a little bit.

Today i present my "Dark Interior" basicly, it's changing the colours in the sub, to become more dark and grime. I just tried to give it an older, more used look.

Also i changed the floor texture, in my opinion the "stock" floor was looking too modern, so i recreated the floor from "Das Boot" based on a texture from CGtextures.com

The other thing i added was a new Sound for Diesel Propulsion and Depth charges, it's contained in "Dark_Interior_Additional_Sounds" i just wanted to put it in^^

I don't know anybody who plays SH5 expect of me, so i would like to receive some feedback if the mod works well.

Looking very good, will try and report back to you - incidently any cahnce of introducing more foodstuffs, bananas salami etc tins and boxes to clutter up the interior as seen in Das BoaT

I don't know if anyone else experienced that (might be just because of some other mod I use) but it seems that u have put the textures in the wrong folder.
It is:
/data/Textures/TNormal/
and should be:
/data/Textures/TNormal/tex/

At least that's what I had to change before it could work properly.

Anyways, again good work, that is something I missed! :up:

Me likes! Only one thing bothers me though, and it's the hatch door on the deck. At day time it seems to be completely black although it's quite sunny outside. I'm not 100 % sure if it's because this mod but haven't seen it before I think. Otherwise it's a great mod and I'm using it!

You may have to increase the contrast.

I installed this over the top of the Mega Mod. However, I still have a white scope in the CON. Anyone know how to fix this?

Yes. My interior mod adds several textures that are not in the stock game. And, my interior mod is incorporated into the mega mod. In order to change the color of the obs scope you will have to replace the texture tile_metal_11.dds with something.

Xenomerv, you may just want to include a tile_metal_11.dds right in your mod so that people won't have to replace it manually.

this looks remarkably like the real boats...very realistic. From family photos, it is a near perfect match....

This mod is smashing. What an atmosphere. For the first time i felt like walking in a real german submarine. Works perfectly with Steelvikings excellent interior mod.

I must have overlooked this mod and have just dled it and given it a try for a few hours. Really nice work if you want that dark 'older' interior look. One thing I've noticed while using it is that after being submerged for a long period of time then climbing up the ladder once on surface. Man its as if I can smell the fresh air and excited to see some sunshine. :DL

I dont get it , with this mod installed my U-boat is so dark i cant even see the hatches and i certainly dont get a lit-up captins sleeping compartment like your picture....its still got the red lights on.

I have installed it after SteelV interior mod aswell, and im using a decent spec 1920x1200 24" S-IPS monitor!!

For this mod the lights.cfg is very important. Maybe you have overwrite it with another mod. For example "Dynamic Environment" do it. It would help to edit this manually to merge the mods.

How to do?

- Make a backup-copy of your XXX\SH5\data\cfg\lights.cfg
- Open the actual XXX\SH5\data\cfg\lights.cfg in notepad.
- Now exchange the green block in your finally lights.cfg.

I think it helps.

The problem is, we have only one lights.cfg for bunker, inside boat and outside boat. :damn:

Wow! Thanks for this mod Xenomerv. It makes the interior much more like a "Used" boat. It's a perfect match when used with SteelViking's interior mod as you suggested.
