HI there I am using the Das Boot Sound Mod (DBSM)-- I think stormy made it-- to add atmosphere and provide that essential ALLLLAARRRRMM! which was so sadly missing from stock.
But I find that when I am trying to go silent and avoid detection after a crash dive all my crew are SHOUTING really loudly as if they were still on the surface.
Anyone know of a sound mod that gives a good crash dive / battle stations sound but doesnt have a bug like this? Any suggestions?

Hi Stevepine,
there are many sound mods that use the term "DBSM"....
...if you mean the collection i putted together, you can find it here:

well, normaly crew voices are controled by it`s current "crew state". That means for example if you command "silent running", but the crew is in "panic state" (maybe you got damaged by something to much), the crew then is shouting, because they would never understand something because maybe sea water is flooding the boat or they are simple in panic, this can happen even in "silent running mode", if the situation need it.
This DBSM collection plays additional realistic and important (maybe live saving) pre diving, diving and after diving command and report voices of the crew while they are executing one of the most dangerous maneuvers of a submarine. From my view this voices cant be played silent, but this is maybe a matter of personal taste.
...maybe it help, if you turn your overall voice lever down a bit :sunny:
Hi!
You can also try my Battlestations soundmod! It's a small single purpose mod and it gives you nice Alllaaaarm! sound and few other things: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=178938. It hasn't got crash dive sound but maybe I'll add it later. I use it with other sound mods myself. All the respect for the makers of these big sound compilations! :salute:
