(If this is the wrong place to raise this, please let me know where I should go...)
Running GWX 3.0 Gold. Bloody good stuff. Still - have some weather(ish) related questions that don't seem to be addressed in this Forum, so here goes.
1)- Sometimes get thunder from a clear sky (spooky);
2)- often get rolling swell 1 m over the top of the crew's head (and they don't flinch - very stoic, those Germans!); and,
3)- on really dark, moonless nights, mid winter in far north (say, near Greenland), I can see absolutely nothing but black in the scope, yet the scope registers ships and places them on the map (albiet at very reduced range to normal - say under 2k). I know I am a cheating noobie, running at 90% realism - letting the AI calculate firing solutions - but I figure I do have a WO, and I'm the Kapitan of this 'ere boat - let him earn a crust! Just thinking that if I can't see anything out of the scope, for whatever reason, then a firing solution should not be possible - I should be made to track the convoy and get into position for a daylight attack. No?
I don't know if any or all of these are bugs, SHIII or GWX issues, or just things that are way too hard to mod, but wouldn't it be grand to see the watch crew ducking and holding on for dear life in the event of an over-topping roller, or, more realistically, being forbidden from being in the tower in the event of really heavy seas if over-topping was a risk (much like gun crews can't man stations in heavy seas).
Any of these things bugs with available fixes?
