Last Night I had the idea for a (Modern) Naval Warfare browsergame. While I know how to code that (PHP / HTML5 / MySQL / Javascript) I do have a lot of open questions in regard to the actual game mechanics.

Basically I would like to make something akin to a Pen & Paper RPG based upon certain rules and the "rolling of dice" for the random element. All playable in the browser and both singleplayer and player vs. player.

See this link for a more detailed outline : http://www.commanders-academy.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43555

And this http://www.commanders-academy.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=97 links directly to the development forum.

To all those interested in playing and helping in the development - you are welcome with you ideas. Please use if possible the forum over at the CADC to keep the ideas in one place, over here it might get complicated on keeping track of various posts about this topic (given that there is a response).

Cheers

BUMP

and I've started a Blog loosely tracking the development process as well as any further ideas I might have (in addition to the development forum mentioned above).
