Hello everyone, I just started playing SH3 and noticed that it is not like SH2 that I have grown acustom to playing and it is fun.
Torpedo reloads no longer show you how much time is left before you can fire, target data such as range is no longer within the parascope, the torpedo impact stopwatch no longer is in minutes so that I can launch my torpedos at multiple targets and have them hit all at the same time, if there is a mod that brings all these cool SH2 things to SH3 then please let me know, yes it makes the game less realistic to do this, but I am playing it for fun.
The reason I dont play SH2 anymore is because I got windows 7 and SH2 wont run on it, need windowsXP or earlyer with the enclosed Quicktime on the CD installed to play the game. If somone knows how I can get SH2 running on windows 7 please let me know.

Actually...

Torpedo reloads no longer show you how much time is left before you can fire,
The 'I' button brings up the Weapons Screen. Putting the cursor over the torpedo being loaded will tell you the time left. Torpedoes waiting for loading will only say 'Torpedo in queue for loading' which is more realistic.

target data such as range is no longer within the parascope,
If you use Automatic Targeting it will give all the information on the notepad. If you use Manual Targeting you must figure out and enter the information yourself. Manual Targeting plus Weapons Officer Assistance will let you click on the WO and have him put the current information on the notepad.

The reason I dont play SH2 anymore is because I got windows 7 and SH2 wont run on it, need windowsXP or earlyer with the enclosed Quicktime on the CD installed to play the game. If somone knows how I can get SH2 running on windows 7 please let me know.
It is possible to partition a hard drive so it can have XP and 7 on it at the same time.
