Hi all,

Just a real quick question, what are the major differences between TMO & RFB? I tried searching before I posted but came up nil.

Thanks,

Tex

Ok, let me rephrase the question. For TMO users, what about it makes it more appealing to you than RFB?

And RFB users what makes it more appealing to you than TMO.

Thank you.

Hi Guy

You ask a hard question. I'm sure there are people who will have opinions, but really the best way to decide for yourself is to try them. Each offers different things that appeal to different people. Give 'em a try and make your own choice. That's pretty much what I've done. :D

Never bothered to contemplate that, I just run three seperate installs.

RFB, TMO & OM

in a nutshell both are great mods

TMO is aimed at making the game realistic while making the game as challenging as possible even if it might push the limits on realism some

RFB is aimed at making the game as realistic as possible while making the game as challenging as it can without pushing the limits on realism

opinions differ but in my opinion TMO is by design the more difficult with game play and RFB is more realistic by design but not as difficult as TMO in gameplay

each has its own "feel" and "look" and nobody can say which is best because its all depending on what you like so play both for a while and you may end up with two installs like many others who cant decide which is best so they play both

My personal preference is Trigger Maru, but RFB is a magnificent supermod in it's own right.

Webster is correct; both promote realism, but Trigger Maru has a greater emphasis on ambience and difficulty.

With the Jones enabler program it is real easy to firgure out for yourself which one is best for you, just download both and enable one or the other at the end of each patrol. This is what I have done and have enjoyed both mods.

TMO's stance on realism is stated in its PDF file.

RFB has it's own interpretation, and its own PDF.

Choose whichever is best for you, or do a multiple install if you can't decide.
