Got my SH3/GWX running fine on my puter(touchwood:03:) until I tried to start a career in Kiel'39,
It loads up fine until the command room appears,then a message telling me the hydrophone is destroyed then.....CTD???
Must admit this has me completely confused:wah: Any help greatly appreciated:up:

If your using Commander have you added the CFG file?

Yes I have Jim,its really strange cause the rest of the game is working fine,just seems odd that its Kiel:06:

Maybe after causing troubles in brothel last time BdU restrict your entry to Kiel? :D

Of course I know where is it. About 3 years ago I was passing village (square tower church) everyday on bus on My way to work in Wrexham. But last year I move to Thurso.

Bit of a puzzler this.....short of reinstalling to rectify what could be a corrupted file I can only suggest you have the late war sensors mod enabled :hmmm:

Can this cause this? I thought I read somewhere that you could enable this mod at the beginning of a career in '39 and it doesn't have any detrimental effect.

My apologies I've obviously not made myself clear....I DO mean you SHOULD have the sensors mod ENABLED :yep:

Its driving me crackers!! Everything else is working like a charm,really enjoying it being back at sea:yeah:
Just no matter what config of career or sub,as soon as the command room appears,there's the message"Hydrophone receivers destroyed" Then boom!!
CTD and no MS message to tell you or anything why???:hmmm::06::wah:
I shall try again with the 'Late war sensors' enabled and see if that helps:03:

I think Ive traced the problem,it would appear if I try to fit the second type of Hydrophone,KDB I think its called,then thats were the loading problem starts:hmmm:
Perhaps some mod Im using has corrupted it?? If I post my mods list would someone have a look and see if there are any mods that might alter the hydrophones:06:

I can't guarantee I'll know the answer but I'm certainly willing to give it a go.

Wow!!...there are Many mods there I don't recognise :hmmm:

Try disabling 'M.E.P v3-fix pack+Sensors' and see if that corrects the fault.

In fact, look at each mod that affects sensors and disable them one at a time until the problem is rectified but try the above first.

Think I will have to disable all mods and go through them to see which affect sensors,perhaps go back to using M.E.P 2.1 which is a 16k environment will have to be done:06:

Well I've gone through the lot and can't find a reason for the problem,although,last week I finished a patrol and when I opened SH3Cmdr next time,the roll back button was there!!!:hmmm: Even though the auto roll back was ticked:cry::hmmm::06:
Im beginning to think thats when the problem started,Ive had it happen before so Im a bit pissed at SH3Cmdr at the moment:nope::nope::damn:
Oh well,another load of my time and effort wasted:dead:
Its things like this that make you understand why console's are so popular,plug and play!!!
None of this damn modding and crap,oh to have a game that's finished and you just play:06: Like that will ever happen?:doh:
