S! To all Kaleuns :salute:
Stop me if I am wrong, but I remeber that when I was flying with Microsoft FS9 flight Simulator, I think there was a special option for the weather that, as long as you where on line while flying, was recreating the real weather conditions!!
This was some years ago...so I wonder if I am not dereaming......Does this ring a bell to any of you??
If so would this sort of thing be possible in SH3? :hmmm:

How fair do you want the weather to be? there's a chance to change the weather conditions using the modding :)
Hi mate,
"Stiebler" of NYGM has made a "RealWeatherFix" a long time ago - you can download it here:
ftp://maikhaas.dyndns.org/Volume_1/Sharing/SH3COMMUNITYMODS/STIEBLER/
Or check his D/L site on the sticky thread "NYGM" here on this forum.

Well what I meant with real weather is that let's that is 13.30 in La rochelle on the 1.10.10....and it is raining with NNE wond 60km/h that is the weather you get......
I suppose that optiion in FS9 was to link you game to some sort of weather Point in tghe area......:hmmm:
I will investigate and come back to you Messieurs!
Yes you right this option exist in FSX, but I think it's imposibe (or almost imposible) to make something like that to SH3. You need to write special program to work with SH3 and SH3 must be open to work with this program. In this moment noone is able to change the period of weather change. Weather change after about 24h from the last game load and then 24 + 2, 24 + 4 and so on, this is hardcoded i think. I would be pleased if anyone change that cycle, and the weather will change every 12h.

Yes, Flight Sim allowed you to do that. SH3 absolutely does not.

Given what a couple of those winters early in the war were like historically, this is probably a good thing, unless you also mod in some extra wooly undies for your crew. :D
