Embarassing but I had the EAX sound sim mod installed wrong so never got the full effects.I had to redo my mod list to add some recent releases into the mix and redid the EAX sound, did it correctly and man, the sounds are just awseome. When you are shallow, you can hear the planes buzzing overhead before they drop, pretty cool. The explosions and gunfire are pretty cool as well.I forget who created this mod, but awseome job:arrgh!:

It does really change the dynamic of the environment. I've been using it for quite awhile now, & the dog still isn't used to it. At times, it causes him to glance around the room for the source of sound.

I was coming in from the garage from a Mountain Dew refit once, and overheard my wife talking to her sister while looking into the darkened room, with all the sound effects coming from the variously placed speakers. "His office is confusing enough when he's in there. It's like it's possessed, when he's not."

I held up my cold MD in a silent "cheers" and smiled as I walked back into my office...

When they wandered off, I could swear I heard her mumble, "jackass"...

Used it for a long time, made a big difference. Like you I installed it and for whatever reason it didn't work. Then I went to a newer sound driver update and wham...

Have you tried running Poul's with it. Add's 100's of sounds and voices. A few are dumb, like the german "Alarm" when you crashdive, a few English voices, but I replaced those two. Other commands like surface and Periscope up/down have a great series of voices. The torps shooting are good. Doe's have some strong language in it when the torps miss, but usually I can't hear those over my own cussing. In fact, it has so many sounds sometimes it's almost too much. I did alter many of the voices, so hard to remember it, but give it a try.

Installs with JSGME, before EAX.
