I was playing SH5 after leaving it for a good 3 or 4 months to see how the game has been improving and progressing. I am impressed by the progress made and by all the mods so far.
(Every time I think about just HOW MUCH STUFF has been modded by necessity... It makes me wonder how UBISOFT take any pride in their 'work' at all.:damn:)
Anyway.... Im using IRAI by TDW and was surprised to be out in the middle of the Atlantic at night in 1940... and was attacked by enemy planes. :shifty:
Has anyone else had this?

Even if there were carriers around so early in the war then its still unrealistic to have airplanes attack at night.

we can't specify a date range that airplanes can't attack at night. We can disable planes attacking at night but then they would never attack at night no matter what year it is. Unrealistic yes but we have to work with what Ubi gave us :nope:

Not really. Remember that night attack on Italian warships by Swordfish aircraft early in the war?

Yes but those were warships docked at harbor in Taranto, also they only sunk one battleship and damaged 2 others, the Japanese studied that attack for their attack on Pearl Harbor.
Pretty different of finding the small U-Boat in the middle of the ocean , I think some planes (the ones that could use the Leight Light) could but that pretty much excludes carrier based aircraft.
No idea how to fix that, maybe by making by making then fire a flare (that they did, at 1000 meters) that should give plenty of warning to make a dive as that is what happened, planes could attack at night but before the Leight Light they had to fire a flare to see the target that alerted the U-Boat to the incoming attack.
