Wow the far left are now trying to distance themselves from each other. :haha:

Three staffers working for embattled Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) were asked by security officers to leave an event in downtown Washington on Thursday after they tried to display large campaign signs just as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was about to speak.

Good luck, there is not much to add here another one that it is a problematic situation that they have

The American threshold for loss of personal liberty is perhaps lower than in the rest of the world, so yeah, our definition of "left" is different. The US Constitution is a center-right (in modern US terminology, useless as left/right actually is anyway) document. It has to be "interpreted" to read the American left way.

Oddly enough, at the time it was pretty radical.

Sort of on-topic, the tea party is certainly fubaring the right. Look at Delaware. They gave a total loon the nod, and basically just lost the party the Senate.

I originally thought the same as you. But now I think in the long run it sends a message to soft Rep's and RINOs every where as to how they should run to win. To lose one seat to send that message is worth the loss. It also sends a message to liberal/progressive Democrats and shifts them to the right.

There is no such thing as "sending a message." There is winning, and losing. That's it. The "send a message" has been what the losertarians have said for years. They are meaningless as a party, except possibly a spoiler—making things worse.

Eye on the ball. The Tea Party wants to get rid of things that have already been jammed down our throats; "we'll have to pass it so you can see what's in it." Controlling the Senate would have helped (though without a solid 60 votes, that's not that critical).

^And I thought I was to the right politically.^

Not that it is a bad thing.

When Senator Mukowski (R) of Alaska and Representative Castle (R) of Delaware won't call to congratualte or support there primary opponents both Repiublicans it tells you something about their loyalties. Doesn't it.

Well it certainly says something about them.

Political elites need to know they are only elite at the pleasure of the electorate.

I'm more than willing to let the Democrats deal with their political elites.

Can you repeat that message in the "can you hear us now" topic as Steamwake doesn't realise that nominating fruitcakes in primaries means alienating voters in the actual election.

I'm sure it has already been said. but is changing ones mind to fit the facts on the ground only allowed for liberal/progressives?

Though the Buckley rule is often correct, thanks to the Obama agenda, we can start over this year. If the Democrats don't act simularly, to weed out their left wing, 1960's Manson Family hippies, they will be in the political wilderness for some time to come.

He's right, of course.

They want to control the senate committees. She'll lose, but if she can win, that's better for the party—though she'll likely not be a multi-termer. They could have had a safe seat, but she's an idiot. She is an idiot, BTW. I'd be happy if she won, but she's a low-grade moron.

Ok, back to President Obama then. In just a few words, how would you describe him these days? Like I said, it’s been a while since I was last at the White House, but I don’t have a problem saying that the president is losing it. I don’t mean he is like losing his mind. I mean to say that he is losing whatever spark he had during the campaign. When you take away the crowds, Obama gets noticeably smaller. He shrinks up inside of himself. He just doesn’t seem to have the confidence to do the job of President, and it’s getting worse and worse.

I am so tired of everyone trying use the conventional wisdom.Guess what? O Donnell will take Delaware and Miller will take Alaska. The "elites" are just made because some real conservatives have taken what they viewed as their spot. The Dems are trying so hard to save face but they know they are ****ed.We really are in the early stages of a non violent political revolution of sorts.Basically a third party will never work, so the real conservatives have moved in and are taking over the Republican party.Hopefully we will have a day when spineless RINOS like Graham, McCain etc are out.

The elite political class in America is scared as hell, esp in the Republican party because due to their losses in 2008 and the election of Obama, the GOP has been forced to have a come to jesus type moment via the tea party. The old days are over. The Dems will be forced to have a moment, prob wont really happen until Barry is actually ran out of office, they will try to get some new people in no doubt.

-ruined economy?
-2 pointless wars?
-budget surplus to giant deficit?
-loss of image all over the world

I think it takes a degree of stupidity to have that happen in just one presidency.

tater

Nothing happened during the Bush admin without the consent of the democrats in Congress. The Republicans did not have filibuster proof majority, so the dems could have stopped cold anything, at will.

Deficit? Yeah, I agree with that. He should have submitted a balanced budget, then let congress take the blame. Regardless, he should never have added that medicare drug benefit. Obama of course has made the idiotic spending during the Bush years look like chump change in a period far shorter than 8 years.

2 pointless wars? You can argue Iraq. You cannot argue Afghanistan.

Loss of image? Who cares?

The most powerful man in the world, controlled by a group of small old men in suits.

"2 pointless wars? You can argue Iraq. You cannot argue Afghanistan."
Yeah, I think they just flipped a coin on that one.
(I have a weird image in my head of Bush looking at a map going
"Friend,Enemy,Friend,Enemy,Enemy,Friend")
Loss of image? Who cares? "
I agree with you on this one.

The US elect Bush, then they say he's an idiot, then they elect him again.
He maybe an idiot, but he must be a damn good president.
This takes a degree of stupidity.

I'm just joking around here but still.
