distant sounds.
one of the main features is the speed of sound
now simulated in SH3.
a little more advanced than in SH4, the sound
underwater is much faster now (air 343m/s, water 1484m/s).
in addition, electric and steam torpedos now
have a different sound.
version works with stock, GWX3, LSH3_V5.1, NYGM3, WAC 4.1

But a question: For what are the Files particles.dsd and sh3.sdl who comes with your MOD ? Because I have from both files own modded files and your MOD would overwrite my files !
Would you please tell me the changes you made in both files, that I can do the same in my Files particles.dsd and sh3.sdl ?

I did, and for some reason I here the sounds of one explosion multiple times. Anyone else still on this?

I have tried this mod.
The sound is looping.
Really good idea and it feels more realistic. However this looks more like emulation rather than simulation to me. Each sound produce quite an echo every time and this sound "travels" back and forth like 3-4 times and it creates sound mess. I never fired 88 gun at open sea at freighter in reality :) so I cant say if this is bug or feature, but it would be good to know how this mod works so we can decrease or even disable echo a little by ourselves.
I tried to delete some extra sound files, but they probably used not only to emulate echo sounds but to emulate source sounds at predefined ranges as well, so eventually it leads to silence.
Too bad this interesting development seems to be abandoned! :dead:
Hey, this one is better than i thought!
Sound is not buggy, "looped" or something. This mod just tries to simulate shock waves similar to thunder, maybe its not a perfect simulation, but its really feels way more realistic than stock sterile instant sounds. I did a lot of tests in free camera view and I think its an awesome mod!
Really good job, Vickers (if you still visit the forums)
One who just starts his SH3 experience should really try this one, recommended! :yep:
