Just like i told you in the G7a thread i load the stock Sh3 IIA cause i hate spoiler :O:

I hope you enjoy what you see!

Hi again my friends,

Thank you for all the positive feedback without it all my work would be pointless.

Just to clarify some tech questions i receive, all the models are fully optimize to make minimal impact on framerate to give you an idear i have a 3 years old system here my specs :

dual core E6750
3GB of ram
Ati 1900x

With those specs i have no impact on performance and everything play silky smooth.

And by the way Sorry Neal i have ruin your name in the credits i will fix that in the next one :salute:

The next video will be upload in the evening.

VERY very nice gun Hans !

keep it coming.....!!

Thank Makman94 i am just finishing the new dock and crews video so tonight they should be upload and next i will make another video on the menu and interface change and for the last one Daz Boot with all the new features.

If everything go well probably by Halloween i will release it as beta, the conning tower interior is the hardest part to model because reference pictures are very rare.

Is it just me or the forum seem to have less activity because last spring the minute i ask a question many people reply!

Hi Magic1111, i know video are not playable but i just made them to show the different features and they don't take me long to produce.

SH3 is simply unbeatable it remain even today as the number one ww2 sub simulator, SH5 will never be SH3 the only thing they can manage to do is a complete remake of SH3 with SH5 game engine after it is better optimize.

Because game developers are missing a critical part of the general mood out there, people loose their jobs and a vast majority don't upgrade their computer as they used to do.

So a wise developer will produce game for lower specs requirements but history as taught us that the unwise go way down the drain!

Hi Makman 94,

I am honor my friend to receive such positive comment from you, there are a lot of talented folks over here i don't understand why company never come here to recruit those talented guys.

I am a very meticulous researcher in history an i have an eye for details just by looking at pictures reference on different angle and i can grab the perspective to model it after. And as a personal project i almost model the complete third Reich in 3d, I have done a Messershmit BF-109 with Adolf Galland in cockpit, Tiger tank with Micheal Witman in turret, Heinkel 111 with complete interior and crew plus animated bombing bay and landing gear, Kubelwagen, and almost all the weapons of the wermacht etc. To give you an idea all the Heinkel 111 flight instruments have there own brand logo on them and the electric wire to it! If 3d fuel would exist it could fly for real ah ah!

Wait until the afternoon i have a surprised if you love detail and history as i do you are going to go for a ride, the U-boot i made is based on U-3 and i can say that U-3 is to be re commissioned today call it a rendez-vous with history!

Starting a campaign with the IIA wil never be the same again, as a tribute to U-3 it will appear in the video with is plate number but on release date the plate will be off. It will be i think the first Sh3 boat to have a complete deck totally historically accurate i mean a real 3d deck not a texture.

It is fully optimize and i have no lag at all and my system is a 3 years old one with an old ati 1900x.

I put all my skills and passion into this mod and i t is my way of saying thank you to all of you for this fantastic community, long live to the SH3 community!

:salute:

And don't forget soon everybody will sail the high sea with a true piece of history!

Hi Fubar2Niner,

The only thing left to do before i make the video is to render my ambient occlusion pass for each 4 parts of the deck.

I work all night long putting the finishing touch to the sub, after a coffee or two i will start making the video and by the evening it should be online i was hoping for the afternoon but i wake up too late!

Hi Jimbuna,

I understand that but if you have a look in one of my post i just mention a precise beta release date around Halloween.

The video i made serve a double purpose it is not only to show new features in game, it is also for a new course i am making for my students call Video game asset integration.

Remember i start that project last spring and so far i made a complete new interface, new highly detail models but well optimize, exclusive 3d artwork that show in loading screen and others in game menu, rebuild the complete interior and just to re assemble it took age.

And lot of new stuff i ad and the list go on and on, so as you can see the scope of what i did for a solo guy is tremendous, you will believe what i mean when you try it for the first time.:salute:

Hi nemo7,

Things are going OK after a part of the deck got corrupt i had to redo it again that what retard me for releasing new contents + a dentist visit:o

By the end of the week a lot of new videos will be finish and i will probably release the G7a as a single mod.

Hi privateer,

Nice to see you again my friend, i have been busy since last spring every single minute of my spare time went on that project.

Now i am pretty comfortable with S3d and the SH3 files even the menu ini :salute:

I will release it around Halloween with the crew all disguise as tyrol singers :har:

U-BOOTTYPIIA_HAHD is all based on the early typ IIA as you know but i didn't modify the stock gameplay because when i want to play ultra realism i just load my GWX version.

If the GWX team or any talented modders want to use part of my mod in GWX or any others mods they will have my full support and all permissions granted.

But since even if they are well optimize some models in my mod will probably ad to much load with all the GWX add ons on the game engine i am not sure how much is too much for the engine.

On my 3 years old system it is silky smooth with almost no fps lost.

Best regards Hans,

Hi Hans,

I am always thrilled when someone pushes the 'next step' in SH Games.
:yep:

I am mostly thrilled at advancements in SH3!
By all standards?
It should be an ignored version by now.
But people such as yourself keep proveing that thought wrong!

Hi Privateer,

For me a classic never get old, i remember the first time i start SH3 and my jaw drop on the floor! First time i got sea sickness in my life was in the rough Atlantik by a stormy day.

The moment i enjoy the most is when i put my favorite selection of song from ww2 Germany on the gramophone and going for the hunt.

This game is more then a game i said in an old post that this game have it own soul, the soul of brave soldiers who died at sea...

In my system of belief it is clear that most of the folks here at subsim are reincarnation of those valorous sailors, when you have a very high interest in one era and specific thing like for us ww2 German submarine, it is because your soul still remember that earlier life and they say soul like minded are always draw back together!

Some may laugh at this but we are more than 2 billions to believe it!
Personally i still make vivid dreams of my past life.

Anyways life is stranger than fiction some time:hmmm:

OK enough of my spiritual beliefs :har:

Back to something more serious do you have any clue about how the SH3 engine process the smooth groups cause i realise last night testing the boat at different hours of the day, that the conning tower had ugly shadows related to face smoothing i try detaching it reattaching, clear all smooth, reapply another one but no success.

If i can't find a fix i will have to redo the ext conning tower:damn:

Best regards Hans

Hi verte,

If you have 2 GB of ram it would help a lot but so far it is playing fine on my 3 years old system, when the beta will be release i will have a better idea of how it behave on lower spec sys but i think you will be capable enough to enjoy it if you have least than 2 GB of ram you might have fps issue only at dock because of the add ons i made and maybe near big convoy!

Arff did i say convoy with my IIA 5 fish and not a lot of fuel maybe we never know if you believe in god :har:

Best regards Hans,
