I am running Vista 64 bit and want to try the 4 gb patch because I have CTD problems when I try to run too many mods at once. Where can I download the patch and is it compatible with Vista 64? Thanks!

Why isn't this in the SH3 Downloads section under Patches.

Because it takes the permission of the developer to do this. I guess nobody has asked him; or, perhaps, he wants to keep it on his website.
I don't really know.

So we go take it from his website and tap dance around it here like a bunch of little girls. Sheeesh.

It's an easy job to set the SH3.exe to 4gb with a Hex editor.
Go to Hex offset 0x11E
and change 0E to 2E then save.
:yep:

What is a Hex editor ? How in 25 words or less doe's it work ?

Do you or others want to answer that all the time or....

Put 4gb patch in SH3 Patch section with a Link to Creators Website.

How about we just write another patch?
Then no permissions are needed.
It's not like the Guy that produced the Patch in question invented this fix.
It's been done by hand for quite some time now.

I'm working on the 2 patches now.
One for each version of the SH3.exe
The Reloaded version
And the StarForce free version from Ubi
I see no reason to patch the StarForce infested files.
