How come there was never a pacific conversion mod for SH3? I assume it was because sh4 came out and that new units are harder to add to SH3 ???

Early on, there was a mod for for the USA PTO with SH3, using the Gato US sub. I am not sure why it didn't develop, but I think it was because Ubisoft exercised their prerogative to ban it do to the upcoming release of SH4.:down:

On the German side, there is a PTO campaign in GWX3.0, and perhaps in other mods as well.:rock:

You assume correctly. There was no need for US subs in SH3 because SH4 had them and was better. There are u-boats in SH4 now as well.

The only possibility would be coming across a Random Unit that has disengaged from its final waypoint on the other side of the SH3 world....I have seen them crossing the US land mass before entering the Pacific on rare occasions :hmmm:

I looked at only the Stock GWX 3 files.
And did not look at the Indian Ocean files.
Perhaps there's more there then I know about.
