Tommi's Type 7d minelayer and Testpilot's mines in Pen #9 and the mines are the right size, I've checked that they go through the hatches :)

The gun texture is pretty on the spot though the stock looks a bit short, only aspect that's wrong is the mounting position of the gun w/respect to the tower. Found an image of a conning tower with one attached, "Mid-war addiotions found on many U-boats were up to four MG34's, one of whic can be seen here." This is from a book of mine used as (primary) source material for plastic model painting (hobby of mine) called U-Boats in action(yeah, cheesy name) by squadron/signal publications. Might be able to find it in a model/hobby shop though think it's now out of print.
Since my scanner is out of commission and need to go to a friends tomorrow will bring it along to scan the photo, its of the tower of U-552 out at sea on watch. Main change is that the mounts were recessed which allowed the guns to rest into slots in the tower so that their angle at rest was more like 75 degrees instead of 45 like the prototype image.
Since it wasn't until mid-later in the war that the strict no prisioneer policy was put into place there wouldn't have really been any need for such mounts, unless you were trying to nail a fast moving torpedo boat or something where a 360 degree of fire was needed the flak gun was quite capable of euthanizing a liferaft full of people.
I think that disgusting is a bit of strong a term my friend. Maybe that got lost in the translation.

As promised, here's the photo of U-552 with one of the guns mounted, you can see how they were designed to almost stand upright in order to keep mobility around an already cramped space.

I've got the MG 34 nearly done.
Don't ask me how or why it happened but the UV mapping was screwy.
So had to do alot of flipping of the UV's.
Not the faces, the damned UV's!

I'll be putting this gun in a new dat.
I suggest placeing nodes on the Turms to assign this gun through the eqp file in the Submarine folder as it will come with a zon file so it can be destroyed.
Plus you can assign them by date that way if you wish.

In the next several days I'll be talking to a Movie Studio that may be interested in some of my 3D work.
I'm told the MG 34 sold them.
:o
All I know is that it is an animated film in production right now.
And I've heard some very famous names dropped that work with this
Studio.
Even if nothing comes of it?
I'm totally awed that I'm even considered as a 3D artist of that type level!
Best I've ever come close to something like this
is haveing a News Station want to use my USS Cyclops Video
as a backdrop on the anniversary of the disappearence.
(Which I missed granting permission for as I had no internet at the time :nope:)

This MOD from Anvart could you use for your "Super-Turm MOD" for LSH, right ?

No, Anvart did not an Extra WAC Version of his DF antenna, Flag and Pennants on Turm MOD, because in Germany is in my opinion since 2009 the most popular Super-MOD LSH ! And then comes in the Ranking WAC and GWX !
Because LSH is constantly evolving !
Therefore, it would be great if you could make a LSH-Version of your Super-Turm MOD first, based on the MOD by Anvart !!! :up:
