Here, it's possible to have up to six drivers, and your job is to manage them. In-game, that means maintaining their physical and mental conditions, issuing commands to get them to speed up, slow down or attack the driver in front. It's represented in three different views; there's the command view where the action's restricted to a small window while the rest of the screen is taken up with telemetry read-outs. Another view offers up the live timings, with sector times fully broken down and a final one shows the racing off in full-screen glory.


The next opponent is a Gallardo, which the Ferrari hangs on the tail of looking for gaps at each turn. As the first corner approaches again, it dives for the inside but the Gallardo blocks him off. At this the driver's mental status takes a dip – as indicated by an onscreen bar – and as it continues to push it makes more and more mistakes, overshooting apexes and letting the rear-end slip out a little too far as it falls into the clutches of the Citroen behind it. It's dynamic behaviour that suggests that Gran Turismo's A.I could, at long last, have been brought up to scratch.

I used to run my stuff through an amp and a pair of massive spekers, but that blew up a while ago, and i'm tempted to put a new sound package in the lounge room. (the fact that we don't have a single radio in the house may help my argument)

I run my PS3 sound through my Sony 5.1 Surround Sound Home cinema system using a optical cable. I must say i get crystal clear sound.

Well, just picked up the eyepet package. (not the new MOVE version).

Found it in a local retailer all labelled legit for $19.00. The camera goes for $80.00 by itself, so I nabbed it pretty quickly. I think somebody cocked up the labelling, as I heard raised voices in the back room as I left. :D

Still sitting back on FW 3.41, waiting to see what the homebrew community does, before GT5 is released, and we're all forced to update.

Game arrived on Wednesday afternoon. Pre ordered the Collectors edition from Amazon. It came with the chrome line pack of cars. Which has made winning some races very easy. Have not tried out B spec yet. Just been doing licences and trying to complete as many races / competitions as i can.
Must say im very please with the game so far.
Am currently play with a normal dual shock controller. Which im finding ok but can be a little hard to control some cars.

But on the bright side, I have got this coming for Christmas.

I was sorely disappointed by the car list. 1000 cars? Not if you mean a dozen variants of the same car count as seperate models. Half of the cars are locally-produced Japanese cars that most people outside of Japan have never even heard of. I hope there'll be some DLC that'll add more cars in the future.

Am currently play with a normal dual shock controller. Which im finding ok but can be a little hard to control some cars.


I changed my Dualshock 3 controls to work better. The first thing I did is made R2 Acceleration and L2 Brake. Primarily because they have a wider range of control than X and Square do, allowing you to have greater control of how hard you accelerate and brake.

I then set X to upshift, and Square to downshift.

Finally on the Right analogue stick I removed Up and Down being for accelerating/braking and made Left/Right for Looking Left/Right(great for seeing cars next to you.
