I was sent a mod today (not SH5) that made me remember a very important learning from my GWX days: DO NOT use extended characters such as ü in mod folder or file names (and thus within calling config files) as your mod WILL 100%-guaranteed cause CTDs on some international character sets (like Windows-1253). We learnt this the hard way with GWX, thus why you'll see ship folder/file names of Blucher and Lutzow rather than Blücher and Lützow (fortunately, one of the team members was Greek thus how we identified the problem before users did). This extends to config file contents as well (ie ShipName=Blucher is good, ShipName=Blücher is bad, so fix the file/folder names and you fix this too). For 100% system compatibility, stick with standard characters.

Just some friendly advice to save you guys (both modders and users) some pain in the future...

My 2 drunk off my arse cents......

Don't name your mod containing the word "wolf".

Way over used. Take SH4 for instance. There was absolutely no need to make the subtitle "wolves of the pacific". It's already been beaten to death in SH3 on top of that as well.

Oh and don't name your mod so the last 2 letters in the initials is "WX". Be original for christ sakes. I can't remember which mod, but somebody in some game (not SH3), named themselves SomethingWX. Geeez. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZxzJGgox_E)http://www.maintitles.net/gfx/smileys/facepalm.gif
