Specifically:
- Only using 16-bit textures rather than 32-bit. Makes certain blending look...well, wrong, on modern graphics cards.
- No support for widescreen resolutions, meaning you need to deal with huge black bars on the side of your screen, or 'stretched' displays.
- No support for anti-aliasing. If you FORCE it to be enabled from your external graphics control panel, certain artifacts appear in-game (most notably from the periscope display, but in other areas, as well)
- Rather primitive water and atmospheric shading and 3d model lighting
....so....any changes in those areas from the mod community?
