Hello
I want to add a new playable sub :Surcouf,you can see some plan and photo of this submarine here :

Now i try to import it in the game Sh III (maybe SH 4 ) with silent 3editor but i need documentation to do it correctly so if someone could help me.

I want to add the sub (skin in particulary) , the kiosk(i don t know the word in english) and the deck gun (playable ? ).

Conning tower.
I don't like it personally - of course it's french and it was the biggest one at the time, but I simply think it's the most awful sub I've ever seen :eek:.
Although it's not really eye-candy (I mean, the real one), it seems you've done quite a nice modeling work, Sir. :up:

WOW!!! i always wanted this sub to be in the game!

once i screwed up a mod and ended up with bismark turrets on my sub and it looked a bit like the surcoaf, but fired like a bismark.

as for the sub being playable, it would be hard to somehow put it in the game.

but it would be good to have a sort of 'secret Uboat missions' mod in which you are ordered to take out the surcoaf as she trys to get to england. would be cool in my opinion.

first try adding the sub to the game ask around if u have any problems

Hi,

adding this sub cruiser (which also have an AC hangar) is realy a great idea, i dreamed about how it would be to have it in the game. :yeah:

...there are many interesting storys about this sub, for example if it operated as some kind of a double agent for germany / vichy france, instead of free france, or the story about taken over by british navy, having partly french crew, operating in monsum area.

would it be possible to have it also in the late 1940 condition ?

i import the hull of the sub not the conning tower (thank alex) in the files of the Uboat 9d2 but i have a problem with the waterline wich is too high as you can see here (and i don't know where is the variable for this in the uboat 9d2 files)

I have resovled the problem of waterline and i added the planes and propellers

But the skin isn't done.
I have also a problem when i use the sub with a deck gun :the game crash
if someone have an idea of the causes?

try have a look at the playable bismarck files, maybe they cdould point you in the right way about the problem

So... how is the Surcouf coming along? I can honestly say I'm looking forward to this mod more than any other one.

When you get it done would you mind making it available for conversion to Silent Hunter 3?
