I recently had to reinstall everything because of my new Win7 upgrade and I could not run SH3 due to issues with starforce drivers not working with Win7 but thanks to Neals thread on playing SH3 starforce free I was able to fix that problem.

I have the GWX3.exe install program and it installs on its own and walks you through it.
I just change the install path as discussed in this post. I will add a GWX3.exe download link in this post later if anyone needs it.

* GWX3.0 can only be installed on a clean SH3 with v1.4b patch and cannot be ontop of another GWX SH3 or any other moded SH3 so only install it on a clean install of SH3 v1.4b. this manditory in order to work.

I have a method maybe the same as others of installing GWX3.0 while keeping my original install of SH3 v1.4b clean. So if It becomes corupt I still have my origianl clean SH3 v1.4b
This is were Silent HunterIII installs by default
C:\ProgramFiles\ubisoft\SilentHunterIII
So I just copy the ubisoft folder in Program Files past it to desktop then rename it GWX3.0 and replace it back into Program Files.
Now you can run GWX3.exe setup but by default it installs to ubisoft folder just change the install path to the new GWX3.0 folder that you put in Program Files like this.
C:\ProgramFiles\GWX3.0\SilentHunterIII
Also change the dircetory of SH3Commander to the GWX3.0 folder If you use it.
Any super mods or tools that install on there own are to be redirected to the new GWX3.0 folder.
So its just a simple copy of the ubisoft folder renamed GWX3.0 and both folders are in ProgramFiles
It seems to run fine so far and that method I used on XP as well. Just have to remember to direct mods and tools that install on there own to the GWX3.0 folder leaving the origianl install of SH3 v1.4b clean.
Alot of you might do this already though..
