Did anybody try this mod? Is it compatible with all the other mods?

It's an external tool, so it works with any mod. I've been using it for years.

The post is from the 'Why SH3+GWX3 is the best U-boat sim ever made? To know us (mods and moders) better...' thread. It's on this same page if you had looked. :sunny:

Two interesting threads and a very useful post all worth reading.

Weather = Seriously Bugged? (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=159984)

More Variable Weather??!! (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=125259&highlight=weather)

In case you don't want to read all posts please pay attention to the very first post of the second thread and to this (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=1232365&postcount=13) post too! Combining the information from both sources will solve your problems -within the limitations of SH3- and might change your mind about using an external tool.:up:
If you need any help realising the suggestions you're about(?) to read, post, and help might be given to you.(:rotfl2:)
I've already tried these suggestions and they serve me quite well.

That's interesting since it doesn't affect the weather patterns at all - just the weather you get at the very start of the patrol. The links provided by tomfon will lead you to some mods that really do help with the weather pattern problem, and one of them even mentions that SH3 Weather can break the fixes and restore the original weather problems.

I use it anyway because I like the random weather when I start out. On the other hand my last couple of patrols I've had weather changes quite often, including a big storm that lasted less than one day.

...and might change your mind about using an external tool.:up:
Quite true. As I mentioned, all SH3 Weather does is change the starting weather. One thing I like about it is that when I start a patrol with SH3 Commander it automatically brings up SH3 Weather's screen before it loads, and gives me the option. I actually use several external tools, including Commander, Weather, SH3 Contacts and SH3 Gen.

I didn't mean to imply that an external tool is not a valid or a worth trying solution. I just believe that the two threads i mentioned above provide essential information on changes that can be made and will "globally" affect the weather in SH3 world. :up:

Thanks for pointing out the existence of the "SH3 Weather" external tool. :up:

Oh, I agree. The things in those threads were designed to actually fix the problems; SH3 Weather was not. And don't forget that if you do use one of those fixes there is a chance that SH3 Weather will actually break it again. For me it's worth it, but everybody needs to be aware of it.
