Hello fellas,

I think this is of utmost importance. The Chef. I cant keep staring at this guy at time compression for the entire patrol and wait for the next meal to come out so as to keep the morale up in order to utilize the special abilities.. Someone should create a mod with an option for:

- Auto Special meal scheduler using his feedback or on regular intervals..
- Morale alert HUD icon in case morale gets too low, which I bet often goes to the point of ''WTF I got DDs on me and I need a boost for the electric engine and BMW grease monkey cant do it right now cap..?'', or I need to preheat my last 2 torps to finish an objective which would be lost/ need more eels if not spiked the damage of eels.. and the ''stick her in'' guy weans "Cannot comply''..

Pathetic..

A real life kaleun does NOT breathe down the neck of the galley for special so-called Eintopf..

By the way someone also needs a courtmartial next to Benno, it's Hackl, for leaving rotten strawberries at the galley for Benno to steal and get his punishment in the form of a stomach-ache... Not to mention the rest of the crew..

Arghh.. Please guys, this has to stop.. And I dont think the rear half of the boat starting after the Bosun quarters needs frequent visits for the so-called 'Special meals'

A kaleun needs to be freed for other more important issues at hand, such as, hunting fat merchants and big *ssed Flagships..

Don't you agree fellas??

I certainly do. Morale comes first from high spirits at the start of a mission. After that it's partly governed by success, and partly by empathy. The captain should visit all the compartments from time to time (read once per day on a small ship and once per week on a larger one) and he should be available for counseling, especially in such a small crew. But he knows and they know that his time is limited. Morale is usually the XO/1WO's job, or that of a junior designated 'Morale Officer.' The captain is THE CAPTAIN!

please. for crying out loud counselling who? the disgruntled bitching all-day-long, single-recipe, dads-berieved boy?? the electricians mate?? or the rear boxer who is not even on the cannon when u order him to be?? none apart from the chef says or gestures a whiff of life into the boat.. And frankly, the whole dialogue needs a change say per every 2 months new options arise, and the crew suddenly behave as if in real life.. not that stupid winky wanky AI ubi has so much blissed us with..

What are you doing that you need regularly scheduled morale boosts? My last two patrols were over a month long each and I never had any problem with morale. It would drop 2-3 points, I'd sink a ship or two and all was well. If I needed anything extra I'd talk to one of my officers for an extra point. I've never needed the meal. Odd.

You ever been in the navy? Do you have any idea what goes on on a ship?

Remind me not to agree with you next time.:sunny:

no I havent, but lets not get carried away, it's an unfinished game, and we both know the dialogue option is to only boost morale a notch, ultimately to use the crews special abilities, which needs attention like you said from ppl other than the captain who has alot on his shoulders already.. Crew is important no doubt..

I do agree that counselling is crucial all around the ship in REAL life, with REAL flesh and bones, not some corky boring AI, at least we're on the same page..

To improve character actions require more animations and that points to the G-trouble, so until granny can be worked nothing can be done. However the game is recent, sh3 took couple years to be worked how it's now.

I'm no expert modder, but I think its very easy to write a command in the chefs functions, such as repeatEvery, or doWhile.. You probably are laughing now, since I'm using VB command line, but I know you got my point..

I dont want to waste ANY time at the rear of the boat.. My priorities are Benno, the Comm, and the CON. Period.
