[TEC] Distance and perspective .
Here is a view of trees . Going by the map and ruler i am 9800 meters away .

9.8 km, about 6 miles.

I think it looks okay.

well, supposing you are looking at a beach that is at sea level, you are only standing about 10-15 feet ABOVE sea level, that would mean that, although you SHOULD be able to see at least something of the beach, the trees would be much more prominent since they are not only AT sea level but much taller than your perspective,

also, I do believe that the curvature of the earth could be doing it's thing and the beach could be edging it's way beyond the horizon, leaving only the trees in view :hmmm:

Unfortunatly they are a GR2 file and i think they cannot be altered . I might be wrong though .

yes, trees are evil.
They're not truly evil, just high spirited. It's our fault really. After we killed off all the ents, there was no one left to keep the trees in line.
