View Full Version : [QUE] Demand for efficiency- and explosions Radius for Torpedoes

Hello Guys !
Can someone tell me how and where I found the Explosions Radius (from when a torpedo exploded in relation to the ship's side in the magnetic field) and where the explosive effect is adjusted? I do not want to do this through tweakfils, but with the S3D. . .
Thanks in advance,

Hi Magic1111,
you can find it here:

SH3/Data/Library Torpedo.zon. It opens with Skywasjer's S3D.
Be aware, when editing these values, that the Min and Max blast radii of the torpodoes, are the blast radii IN WATER, which is a blast suppressant.
On contact with the hull of a ship the blast radius of a torpedo, ( or remaining blast radius, for magnetics ) multiplies by about x2.
So min radius of 4.1m becomes 8.2m for impact, and for a magnetic set 1m over depth, 4.1 becomes 6.2 ( 4.1 -1 ) x2.
Max radius of 5.5 is 11m, or 9m for magnetics.
An AP rating of 60 will get a fish through the hull armour, float zone armour and fuel/ammo bunker ( therefore detonating it ) of a battleship with an armour rating of 96.
GWX torps have an AP rating of 100 ( max allowed by SH3 ).
So the blast radius is effective, even against battleships, up to within about it's last meter of radius.

Torpedo.dat - as initial...
Library folder:
Torpedo.sim - here you can find IDs of effects from Particles.dat...
Torpedo.zon (AmmoDamageInfo) - min/max hit points, armor level torp. penetrates and min/max radius of splash damage...
...
and if you want materials - Materials.dat...
P.S.
Roadhogg has outstripped me... :rotfl2:
