View Full Version : [TEC] How to add torpedo storage
Hi. I've read all sorts of topics regarding this and I've tried to use the goblin editor but i cannot get it to work.
What I have done is;
Opening NSS_Uboat7a.GR2 with goblin
Merging the SIM file with the above.
Changed the values from 20 to 40 on the storages
Maybe I've missed something?
Would appreciate some help. :up:

Oh! And I've tried to start a new campaign as well but it didn't work.

After makeing changes,
You must SAVE the sim file.
Click on the Main Branch then select save.
So what you are saying is that it is not enough to go up to the File menu and click Save?

Did not work..
It might have! Setting the sim value won't change the visual display on the torpedo screen.
You'll still have whatever X number of torpedo icons there, but as you fire you'll notice they won't clear till you're under X number left.
Set it to 40, fire off a bunch of torps and see if your torpedo weapon screen still looks "full".

How do add more storage? After merging GR2 and sim. Is it in unit_submarine/wpn_SubTorpedoSys/Room/Fore/Storage then "add entry"? The original entry is 6 slots.

Look here : data --> submarine --> file .UPCGE
For exemple on Type VIIA you have this :

You need test, for sur here, but i'm sur other files must be involved.
Personally I made changes to only have G7eTII at the start and made the G7aTI and other torpedoes more expensive in reputation and it works, but I have never tried to add torpedoes. In this file you will probably have to change several things and also in the "ammunition" file I think.
here: data --> UPCDataGE --> UPCUnitsData --> ammunition
