For one thing, there is no "on the fly" reference for all the acronyms!!!

Is there some reason Sonalysts didn't put this directly in the game?

Real naval vessels aren't user friendly either, I believe.

Why, thanks!! It took some hunting, but I found it.

You could try the quick mission, you only need to kill there. No fancy stuff.. :yeah:

Agreed, with more support this sim would have had mass appeal. I started with the aircraft and worked my way to frigate. The subs are just out of my league for now. The sim can be learned but its slow and painful. I am happy to have this forum

In my opinion, the subs are a HELL of a lot easier to learn than the frigate and the aircraft ! I would start with the 688i !

Nah man,

If you're trying to play the platform with minimal autocrew, the 688i and all other subs are way harder to learn that the aircraft because of TMA. I do agree that the frigate is much harder to learn, not because it's systems are more complicated, but simply because there are so many systems to master.

/the aircraft are much more straightforward, in that you only have to drop buoys and use them to estimate the target's position rather than using bearing-only TMA to do the same. In an aircraft you have MAD (and dipping sonar in the helo) to truely localize the contact, whereas in subs you have to track the target and make a few maneuvers to get an idea of where it is.
