They both went after the same AAA, TF used his cannons and Oberon fired one set of rockets, the rockets must have hit and killed the AAA just as TF flew over them. Thus damaging TF. The red triangle indicates possible courses of the Fw-190 after Oberon lost sight of it. In your defence, just point out that Pilot Acrobat Task Force is flying a F0cke-Wulf with enemy markings that however it's flown by an American it is too easy to mistake it for a hostile aircraft thus shooting at it without full identification is justified.

I'llsee how she handles, early tests in QMB against a Fw-190 seem quite promising, and the pull trigger and see how long the ammo lasts is also quite promising, so if I can just get used to her limits in regards to stalling then I should be there. Oh...and that prop... XD

you enable perfect mode in the conf.ini (in your main IL2 folder)

change: HardwareShaders=0
to: HardwareShaders=1

then if you scroll a bit more down you'll see these:

behind them are digits varying from 0 to 3

0 beeing the lowest, and 3 the highest setting

basically you just change the values of what I pasted below to your liking.

Not the most successful mission I've had. Lost track of you guys before the main target, and wandered around a bit. Found the target after you decimated it so I tried to find the Italian fighters, headed off in the wrong direction and used up a fair chunk of fuel doing so, then had to run back to intercept when you found them, arrived just in time to see Raptor explode. You guys had it all under control and I was nudging 10 gallons of fuel left, so I RTB'd on fumes.

Those airfights are a pain though, you lot mixed with friendlies and enemies, not a clue what to shoot at. :doh:

Map a key on your joystick to the maximum zoom level, then get behind what you want to shoot at, zoom in on it and see if it has nav lights, if it does then it's one of us, if it doesn't then it's either the enemy or a friendly AI, or one of us who have forgotten to turn our nav lights off.
At that point you'll have to rely on the Dicta Boelcke and get in right behind him to visually ID him before opening fire.

Not that...admittedly...I have much luck in dogfights either... :haha:

Might be more doable without dragging those rocket-pods along. Though I'd still have a hard time ID-ing; not familiar with the markings, camo or silhouettes. :-?

Now it is perhaps worth mentioning that somewhere between these two screenshots the first casualty of the evening occured when Task Force decided to manually drop his drop tank by jumping out of the cockpit and unfastening it. Instead he plummeted to certain pasta related doom.

Right, set you lot up as registered users, with the proper privileges (text, channels, etc). That is, assuming I got it right.

Just log in as registered with the password we used tonight. I used the user-names here from SubSim to make sure I got the spelling right, but iirc you use the same ones on TS.

This thing is always on anyways, so TS will always run, along with ArmA server. It's possible the 2 might interfere, especially if ArmA server is sucking up all the bandwidth, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Feel free to use it. Made a channel for ArmA and IL-2, but you're free to create new channels and sub-channels, registered users should have the privileges for that.

Then you'll be disappointed, as Sherwood forest is the setting for only about 5 minutes of the movie.

IMO the movie is rather enjoyable, if one ignores the jumbled mess they made out of the history of King John, the First Baron's War, the Magna Carta and all that, but it has very little to do with the story of Robin Hood...

Still, it'll be interesting how they seem to have attempted to put it all into historical context, Magna Carta and all. So we shall see. :yeah:
