German Voices?

I am a total Noob when it comes to mods and computers for that much. I was wondering if someone could make a mod to convert my english speaking crew to German. I have looked on the CD to find the sound files to no avail. Please help.

Reinstall the game with the Custom option. You'll get the option to install German voices there.

BTW, this topic has been discussed before here. The search function is your friend. ;)

No need to ever reinstall to change the voice over language, the german voice over files are in data/LngGameData/voices/german.
Open the german folder and you'll see a data folder, all you need to do is copy or JSGME that folder into the game and your all set with german voice/english subs

No need to ever reinstall to change the voice over language, the german voice over files are in data/LngGameData/voices/german.
Open the german folder and you'll see a data folder, all you need to do is copy or JSGME that folder into the game and your all set with german voice/english subs

I certainly will when I start playing. I use German in SH3 and SH4, so SH5 will be the same. It just doesn't sound right If they're not speaking their Native tongue.

I totally do! It really does change the game for me. I speak a little German but have learned what all the in game voices mean, so I know what's happening.

Also, those of us with digital download can't just copy the files over since they are all stuck in some CAB file I can't open. :( Good thing I installed German voices from the start heh

Thanks for everything folks, got the German voices, one small step i wasn't doing: after locating the file I needed to convert the file to winrar and archive it. This made it possible to "extract" the file to my Mods folder then activate with JSGME:salute:

I use german voices, its fun because i find myself yelling ACHToiiiinG to my dog and a few others about torpedo depth ect ect.

heheheh, I do. it started in SH3 for me, it was weird hearing them speak in german for a while, but after a year I couldn't play silent hunter 3-5 without it. I have no idea what they say, only that its great for the emersion.

I don't understand: where do you copy the folder / data / LngGameData / voices / German ?What the hell are you talking about ? German voices are part of the SH5 game install process . When installing SH5 choose custom install and tick german voices .
