Voice pipe-like voices

Is anybody out there aware of a mod that achieves this effect? To me, it will be an inmersion factor of notable value....

it would be cool if you could hear the pipe like voices when you are in a different compartment to the person who is saying it to you. i dont think there is a control to make this happen, because then you will be looking at your WO while you are on the bridge, and he will talk to you like a robot. lol
