There are 2 MODs I would like to see ported into SH5
JoC-SH4-Haifisch_1.0_Final.7z (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1721) (Greate White Shark) - MOD by JoTheising and KevinSlice
This Model is currently part of the American Merchant Fleet and needs to be set as a Environmental.
Works in SH3/SH4 and I currently have it loaded in SH5 but have not seen it yet.
JoC-Haifisch-SH4-1.1.rar (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1727) This version uses Jaws music theme for Engine and Hydrophone sound.
Dolphins.7z (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=787) - Mod by sergbuto and Rubini
Works in SH3/SH4 and I currently have it loaded in SH5 but have not seen them yet.
I know the Shark has sound but do not remember if the Dolphins do as well. I also read some posts on a German Forum Site (I Don't recall where) about Gray and Blue Whale Models (with pictures) as well. I was never able to locate those MODs as I do not understand German.
These MODs have not caused any issue's as yet but again, I haven't encountered either to date.
Does anyone know if these actually work in SH5:06:

The sound controller file in the 1.1 shark mod is made from the sh4 file.
The inputs written in that file has to be copied to a sh5 file, or else.... trouble....:know:

Is this just music based? I've caught lots of sharks while surf fishing and wasn't even aware they made sounds. :)

I saw thread about adding more ships, guys there imported some ships from SH4 and SH3 but there was probem with damage system.
As for fishes dmg system is not needed it should be possibe to port them into SH5.
I hope some one will do that :up:

I've never heard sharks make a sound either with the exception of splashes when feeding at the surface. I think the sound is more to help you find them in game more then anything else.

I would like to se Giant Squid in game. I have seen Giant Squid sucker marks on the rubber coating on current day Submarines. Would be cool if they were in game and attacked subs.:rotfl2:Release the Kracken!!!

The next 1.2 patch will make importing SH4 ships in SH5 possible, so it might be possible to import those nasty fishes too.

GWX did the Whales for SH3.
If there is a stand alone mod?
It was taken from GWX 2.0 I'd bet.

Even after the 3D Models do get imported into SH5. They still need to be added to the Campaing layers (MOD'd into Game) just as TheGeneral did with his Iceberg's MOD. If the Evironmetal's are not added to the Campaing or Mission's, you will not see them in game.

Actually shrimp, fish, whales and other biologics make quite a bit of noise that hydrophones can pick up. You don't hear them when fishing because it's rare for sound to break the water/air barrier of the surface. I found US Navy hydrophone training tapes once, with sound samples of many biologics, but I don't know where they ran off to...

Why as type 104 and not as environmental? I forsee problems with this. Reason I made icebergs, mines, and nets as environmental was to avoid problems.

I did it mainly as a Test to check Models in Museum.
In SH4 they worked fine as Type 104 Coastl Ships.
Not sure if you take damage if impacting these Models as ZON files have not been changed.
When someone is able to add them to Campaign the Type can be changed to Environmental.
The Humpback Whale is also listed as Submarine. I don't remember why this was done but it was required to function properly is SH3.
On another note. I tried adding the Haif Shark Model but it renders pointing straight up. That Model will need some extra work done to it before it can be used in SH5.
2 or 3 pictures of this mod would not hurt.
