Hi
Maybe it would be possible to have the date and the time where the radio contacts appear on the map.
Actually we have only the type of contact and his speed.
When we use the accelerated time, often, we don't see the contact when it appear. And it's impossible to calculate a point of interception (if we don't use the map contact update of course)
I think it would be interesting to have this information on the contact popup window :DL

This was standard stock item on previous SH's so can't understand why it doesn't feature here. I agree that it would make life a lot easier especially when at high TC

I wonder if there is still a time stamp for when the message was generated and if it is just suppressed, or if the time of game object creation is lost once it is created. I have noticed that there is a faded contact box that moves as you try to plot an intercept ( if you have those contacts on) but I don't know if that is based off of the initial time of creation or if it is based of of its current location. I make no assumption that ships always maintain course and speed from the time the contact is placed on the map with the data given one can work it backwards to see what time the contact was added and go from there , but in my book that's sort of a cheat that wouldn't be needed if they just did it right in the first place. I would categorize this as playable but not remotely historically accurate. IE I can find convoys and the like with they way that they have stuff set up, but it's kinda silly. when I play with contacts on its about blowing stuff up any way so the missing time stamps don't bug me. when I play for accuracy I usually just happen across a ship in a trade route vs trying to hunt down a radio contact.
Lack of a timestamp for radio'ed contact reports is a HUGE deal when you have map contacts off. The fact that it's absent is just complete idiocy.
BY the time i finally notice a contact in time compression (and then finally drop down to 1x), i have no idea how long it's been sitting there.. and thus no idea where it "could" be... and thus no way to plot an intercept course to it.

I don't know if it is possible to mod this thing.
What the modders think about this ? :)

Probably hard-coded. Not positive, though. :hmmm:
