Hi all,

Please can anyone point me in the direction of a mod to reduce campaign layers to a chosen theatre of operation. My Sh3 install is creaking at the seams and I need to try and reduce the memory overhead if at all possible to try and squeeze a couple of extra mods in for testing in connection with my humble modding activities.

Thank in anticipation.

Best Regards

There are the inbuilt campaigns such as Indian and Black Sea that come with GWX or there is Hitmans Med only mod or BBWs Atlantic only mod.

You might find this useful:

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1536

Or more flexible:

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=165794

One of the scripts allows you to remove all the units that do not enter a specified area. You just have to provide the longitude and latitude of the area.

If you just want to test mods, use a blank campaign file (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1082).

Thanks, I have MBFL and it's very useful indeed but I need to test in campaign.

I'm not sure how well this would work, but you could use SH3 ME to easily delete all traffic except in a given year. That way you could play the '1940 campaign' until November 40, return to the regular campaign until Jan 41 then enable the '1941 campaign'.

Does anyone know if this will reduce load times?

Will reduce load times
However as many groups span different years trying to seperate them would be a nightmare
Tried for GWX4 and failed
lol
Would mean splitting as far as you could then rewriting

Hi,

the mentioned script does not only have a position/area filter, but also a time/date filter. You can easily test how much the loading times are reduced
