Does it have any nude scenes? I only read books with nude scenes. Really big print and lots of pictures are also a plus.

I actually do feel that Das Boot is rather tedious. It isn't the length, it is the length compounded with the utter lack of cinematic artistry. The fact that so many treat it as a historical document only exacerbates my disdain for the film.

I love the series but agree with you 100% on your second point.
